1925 S (San Fransisco Mint Mint Mark) Silver Peace Dollar VF (Very Fine) Condition (90% Silver)

The 1925 Peace Dollar is the 5th year issue in the Peace Silver Dollar series and the 4th year it was struck at the San Francisco mint with the S mint mark (which is located on the obverse below the word, 'ONE'). Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the Peace Dollar is recognized for its modern and elegant design.

1925S Peace Silver Dollar Very Fine Condition

Very Fine or VF Condition indicates the following: hair over eye well worn, some strands over ear well defined, and some eagle feathers on top and outside edge of right wing visible.

The obverse of the Peace Dollar features a striking profile portrait of Lady Liberty, modeled after de Francisci's wife, Teresa. Lady Liberty is shown wearing a radiant crown, symbolizing enlightenment and freedom. The inscriptions on the obverse include "LIBERTY" at the top, "IN GOD WE TRUST" in two lines on either side of Liberty's neck, and the date "1925" at the bottom. The reverse showcases a majestic bald eagle at rest, clutching an olive branch in its talons, symbolizing peace. The eagle is perched on a rock inscribed with the word "PEACE." Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM," with the denomination "ONE DOLLAR" below.
